Bauer looking at other outlets?

A report at B&T has Bauer CEO talking about magazine retail and distribution:

On what’s next, Hill said from a publishing perspective, Bauer will continue to look at where it distributes and where new opportunities lie both in retail and digital edition distribution.

It will be interesting to see what this actually means.

I have now had 2 visits from a Bauer Merchandiser. Who as far as I know only merchandises one place in town, Woolies. I tolerated her first visit as I wanted to see what she was up to, Counting Mag Slots, checking magazine poster placement numbers brands and placements, taking photographs inside and out.

I got a second visit the other day and asked her to leave which she accepted and did with no animosity.

The same lady was one one half a sub agency which closed down and left with an unpaid bill of $132.02 which i wrote a few of years back.

She was I think surprised that I allowed the first visit to go ahead as on both occasions she asked me for permission to enter and do her job. The first time I wanted to see what was doing for Bauer. At no time did she anything without asking me and was all up front about it. The unpaid bill was always the Elephant in the room.

Perhaps you could have handed her a new account, saying, It’s great to see you have a job, so if you would kindly pay this amount owing you will be most welcome. or something to that effect.
It would have been an interesting reaction.
Ehat she did without offering would stick in anyone’s core.
