Weeks ago my newsagency software company completed acceptance testing of its integration for TheLott products. Here’s a brief video showing how it works for those interested in seeing it:
This is a real break through, especially I believe in possibly two/three fronts.
Mark please correct me if I am wrong for I my have misread the VIDEO jargoneses.
Firstly, actually reconcilling the transaction of the Lott sales to te computer sales totals is long overdue.
Some believe it uneccessary as long as the overall ’til balances.
Lotto Settlement Report does not produce a traffic count. This does.
This is most important when dealing with Centre Management. I will explain another time.
2. I am not sure of this one however it looks as if newsagents now could sell the Lott on – line with confidenceby synchronising the sales into one tab then charging this to thei credit card.
3. Could this be another step to the ‘cashless” society as payment of prizes could be credited to the same card used to do the purchase?
Possibilites are endless.
Pity. however my point is could we take an order for goods on-line plus one for lotto etc and charge to the same card and with your new integrated system charge it as one/ hence we have an online sale for both.
It may be done now however it’s too cumbersome, two separate receipts etc. with your new transactions it seems to be eqasier.
This is what I am asking can it be done?

I think the more interesting thing in all of this is the Tab/Tats Lotto Digital Wallet an account with money in held by Lotto in a customers name. When one considers the present move by right wing wowsers in the NSW Government for all Gambling particularly Poker machines to be on a card that must be preloaded off site I believe the Digital Wallet may provide the accountability the wowsers want. At present I believe this is particular to NSW but it was only some years back similar measures against gambling where discussed and attempted in our Federal Government. The great thing is will prevent money laundering and gambling which the person can not afford according claims made.

Graeme, as I understand it Tabcorp has no plans to allow retailers to sell online.
