I hope the RBA looks a bit deeper at these figures. Ignoring the effect of price increases and inflation retail sales volume grew by just 0.2 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Many of us were still effected by Covid restrictions in that quarter last year..
Currently, I only compare 2022 results with 2019 as that provides the safest comparison, especially if the comparison is to play into offering a national view.
