What I still don’t promote Inside Out magazine in the newsagency

IMG_4946Since News Corp. continues to favour Coles with pricing of $6.00 for Inside Out magazine I see no reason to promote the more expensive newsagency version priced at $8.20. This long-term campaign by News disrespects newsagents and shows the desire of News Corp. to switch shoppers from our small business channel to the giant Coles.

    Mark, by not promote do you mean you don’t give it prime positioning, or do you just refuse to display it?

    I am in a centre with two Coles supermarkets. One is around 10 metres in front of me. There is no point in allowing my business to look so much more expensive than theirs.

    I cancelled inside out mag as soon as I read ( on this blog) about the difference in pricing. Every customer that was buying this mag agreed with my decision and were as equally disgusted. They just swapped to other publications instead. I truly thought the majority of newsagents would do the same!!
