Scoop travel guides miss the cut

scoop.JPGI have sent these titles back to NDD, the distributor. If they want me to carry the stock for more than 30 days they can compensate me for the use of real-estate and labour.

The travel category is well serviced and sales are falling so any new titles will have to be exceptional. These Scoop guides are not exceptional.

The more newsagents who take this stand with fringe titles the better.

I remember when TruckSearch was only available as an insert with a industry truck mag, was real surprised to see it selling in newsagencies. You’d have to be fanatical to want the info contained within it. Just another case of magazine publisher pushing out more mags to please advertiser’s.

I’m still receiving a very expensive ‘industry only’ truck mag that has been sending me free copies for two years now since I stopped my subs. Make’s you wonder when you see how many industry mags that never get sold to the public end up in newsagencies.
