Bill Payment growth is a surprise

I am surprised at the 34% increase in bills paid in our newsagency using Bill Express in May 2008 compared to May 2007 given the poor health of the Bill Express company. Bill payment continues to be less efficient than I would like with most sales not including any other product.

    Hi, Mark.

I suggest that newsagents should give Bill Express another chance to make it survive and success.

In our shop, Bill payment has no much increase, while the transcations related to BOPO card and iTune Cards increased, (after the big ad screen was finally replaced by a new one after 3 months out of function).

One customer had a chat on the topic of Bill Express, he is one of ad experts and suggest us, to make the money using Bill Express Ad system, to proactively approach local businesses. He is involved in simliar systems in pubs and clinics, and told us that the pubs and clinics make some money from the ad screens, and newsagents can do the same.

    Cheers,

    Sunny

    Funny, funny, funny
Your comment is just like the BXP news letter I read a few week ago. Now I understand where the real danger come from. Not the BXP, but the newsagents who are not unit.

    Hi, Clement.

We can in both fronts, a unity fight for fair contract terms, and a unity fight for the success of Bill Express operation in our shops.

    Cheers,

    Sunny,
    Shaun was right on,
Are you on the BXP payroll, or what?
As newsagents, we are working enough as it is, thank you.
If you want to run around & find advertising clients for your TV, go ahead.

Just do me a favour, & keep your wet dreams to yourself, & don’t mention this stupid idea again in a public forum.
That sort of crap plays right into these mongrel’s hands.

If you think it’s possible for us to make $500 PM selling ads, you’re dreaming.

Sunny is a newsagent, one who has a very positive outlook, and deserves a lot better than has been dished by the previous posts. Sunny may have a different opinion and I personally may not agree with him but he sure doesn’t deserve that sort of response. Shaun the last thing we really want is BXP to go broke as we will still have a $495 +SD+GST monthly commitment for the term of our contracts to the rental company and no income at all.
Oh and I am a newsagent as well

Shaun and KH, the whole point of this blog is for people to share ideas about the newsagent industry, if someone has a different opinion then this should be questioned but never attacked in such a way as you have done. I have been a newsagent for 19 years and hate what is happening with the whole B/E mess but that is no excuse for attacking others comments. Learn some manners or you should keep YOUR opinions to yourself.
Sunny if this is your stance then good luck to you but I can’t see you making a go of it, there is a lot of hard fwork for little to no gain for you or your business.

Everyone should put difference aside and focus on one thing. Join NANA for a legal action.
I contacted with NANA. NANA is very positive.
NANA told me the legal action won’t stop until they get our money back.

    Thanks everyone.

I had discussed with some nearby newsagents. I agree with Shuan and KH that in a public forum, in this special event, we need a unify voice (and action) for all newsagents.

    Cheers,

    Sunny

LUKE LOOK MOST OF US HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION THAN SUNNY SO I VOICED MY OPINION WHICH YOU DIDN;T LIKE . IF SUNNY IS A NEWSAGENT THEN I AM SORRY FOR WHAT I SAID . IT IS JUST A BIT HARD TO SEE SOMEONE THINK THAT BILL EXPRESS IS A GOOD THING . IF THEY DO GO BROKE I STILL HAVE TO PAY MY $500 A MONTH EITHER WAY SO FOR ME I WOULD RATHER SEE THEM SUFFER AS THEY HAVE MADE ME . I LIKE MANY OTHER NEWSAGENCYS DO NOT MAKE A CENT OFF BILL EXPRESS AND I WILL BE GLAD TO SEE THEM GO .

We should judge people on what he does, not what he says. As fas as I know, Sunny had already joined NANA’s legal action against BXP and he paid his share of $495. He is a good newsagent.
We should unit as many newsagents as possible to attack BXP by any means available. such as stop payment, unplug it EFT machine and join NANA for its legal action.

NANA needs to be a little less secretive in its approach. An offer of assistance yesterday was treated so badly that what may have been most helpful is not available for NANA to consider.
