Gloria Jeans and magazines

I have heard a rumour that Gloria Jeans coffee outlets are to trial a direct supply arrangement for a small range of magazine titles.  I mention it here in the hope that it may shake out either a confirmation or a denial.

There was hype about the growth of newspaper sales through Gloria Jeans maybe 2 years ago now. Its the perfect environment for a range of impulse titles. How frustrating that a chain gets direct supply even for a small range of titles is….

gloria jeans is well placed near a busy entry point and now sells newspapers which we believe is in conflict with their orignal lease – no-one cares – they still sell papers and no doubt will chip away at our business by selling mags. I will be stocking exotic coffee beans soon

WE STARTED SUPPLYING GLORIA JEANS WITH PAPERS BUT CENTRE MANAGEMENT FOUND OUT AND SAID IT WAS NOT IN THEIR CONTRACT AND TOLD THEM TO GET RID OF THE STAND AND PAPERS

Don’t worry – there’s more profit in coffee than magazines. If they start that caper, install a coffee bar! You’ll be the winner!

we used to supply 15 copies of tele graph and 2 copies of australian and now we told them to get them from other newsagent as they can’t even sell 10 copies of tele a day. what ‘s the point.
