Six companies claiming ownership of the terminals!!! This is the biggest shamozzle I’ve ever seen in my life!

I’m still waiting for it all to unravel. I think it will take months, I can’t believe the way Ian Christianson and Co operated this whole thing, robbing Peter to pay Paul in the grandest scale I’ve seen.

Ummm. If 7-eleven think that they can just wade in and flick the switch and instantly have 3500 newsagency’s vending vouchers for them…….me thinks they have a rather rude shock coming, at least we will know who to contact to pick up all this Sh!t in the store room
OH and we aparently get to keep paying the lease as a bonus….cool

same here, we will obviously not want to keep on BillExp structure if & Eleven bought it over, even if reverting back to same conditions as b4.
Who knows we may travel back up this road again with 7Eleven in a couple of years.
7Eleven had better think again and do the utmost due diligence b4 buying the assets.
Most newsagents will have now signed up with others and would not freely take up their offer even if willing.

Guys, I think 7-Eleven are talking about the terminals and installing them in their stores, not becoming a new BE.

Am reading that it has interest in the bill payment platform and reactivating that area of business with existing network, ie us the newsagents.
If they are interested in the hardware/software only, then they are very welcomed to them.
but other that, have to exercise caution.

After the role 7-eleven and the association of convenience stores played in deregulating the newsagent industry why on earth would they think newsagents would happily want to be involved with them now?

Newsagencies are more and more becoming convenience type stores, we need to accept this and use their influence to our advantage. I would love to combine newsagent numbers with convenience stores to make one national body to protect us all. We have all been burnt by the BE mess so lets not let it happen again, if we were not on our own in 99 then deregulation may not have happened. It is a case of strength in numbers
