Two years after we were flooded out as a result of construction being undertaken above our shop we received this week a cheque from the insurance company for the builder for the $10,000 in stock which was water damaged and removed by them at the time. I hope newsagents affected by the floods in Queensland don;t have to wait two years.
We just had the ceiling collapse in our shop. Centre manager does not look at all supportive at this time. Two staff injured (not too serious) NOT HAPPY!!!!

Wow that’s heavy.
Hope things get sorted out quickly, and that the injuries heal.

Thanks all for your thoughts. Both girls are at home today, a bit sore but otherwise OK, we were so lucky. It appears now that a tradie in the roof cavity was running some cables and unhooked something he should not have. We will of course soldier on but this is something we definitely did not need!

All the best Brett. If you really need a hand I can be up there tomorrow.
