Little interest in Tiger Woods poster

The poster of Tiger Woods which was free with the Herald Sun on Saturday failed to attract interest in my newsagencies and others I have heard from.  We offered it to customers and more than 90% of the time the offer was declined.  Meanwhile, I am told that the NEW MOON poster with the Sunday Telegraph in Sydney did very well.

New Moon didn’t move at all here. Then again, none of the Twilight stuff does well here either. Whenever we get this lot on mag covers, it evokes a bit of a groan- gonna be a slow mag week..

I am curious about one thing: on the poster the director’s name was put in a rectangle. Now I am not a native English speaker and not familiar with the language tradition, but does it mean he was dead or what if the name is put in a box? I had to do a google and he was certainly still alive.

Han – Just a fancy way of highlighting his name. Putting a name or word in a box doesn’t normally have any other meaning in English, apart from adding importance.

Would have been nice for Nationwide to let us know it was a metro-only promotion… the number of crying teenagers we had to deal with.
