AFL prospectus for 2010 season out now

afl_prospectus_2010.JPGThe AFL Prospectus for the 2010 AFL season is out now in newsagencies.  If last year is anything to go by, this $39.95 collectors (and AFL tragic) item will sell out quickly.  We have it located with newspapers as well as with our AFL related magazines.  I have seen customers decide to purchase the prospectus on impulse, making it an excellent impulse item.

Mark, which company supplies these? As a Collingwood tragic I MUST have one. In NSW we are completely starved of AFL titles.

Shayne, it’s from Network. I’d could easily send you one if you’d like even though you are a Collingwood tragic.

should be heaps of room left after the rugby league one goes in, its only a minority sport in australia anyway. if they bring one out just on collingwood, maybe in with the comics 🙂

Rugby League? Oh that’s right – that other silly game that blokes play when they haven’t got enough talent to play REAL footy! lol

Allan, I don’t hate them, they probably make up most of my newspaper sales.

I attribute this to: papers being affordable for them, lots of pictures in them to read, while being surrounded by all that black and white “stuff”.

G`day Michael you had better order 50 times your allocation of newspapers on the last sunday of september after the MIGHTY MAGPIE MACHINE takes out the 2010 premiership, i`m sure there will be lots of pictures in that edition.

    Cheers
    Al

On a serious note if any of you are in the northern states do not be afraid to source magazines and other merchandise of all the AFL and NRL clubs. If you talk to your customers you will probaly be surprised at how many southerners you have coming to your stores. Here in my QLD store we stock a lot of NRL and AFL merchandise and continually get comments about how good it is to see product not just limited to the Brisbane Lions and Broncos franchises. The only one that doesn`t really move that well is the New Zealand Warriors product, go figure.

I don’t think winning it on a play station will get that type of media coverage.

You’re right about the merchandise though, even the NZW.

Michael, the PIES winning it on play station would probaly still sell more newspapers.

Allan, Can you tell me where you source the AFT/NRL merchandise for your Qld store? We are having trouble getting our hands on what we think will be a corker of a product in our store!

I should mention we are unable to attend Gift Fairs since we are owner/operators, 7 days with no staff. Can’t go and check these things out so we rely on the interweb (and industry publications sometimes) for info.
