The AGE had a brilliant wrap-around yesterday, Saturday, covering the ascention of Julia Gillard to the prime ministership. They ruinied with an ad for HBA stuck right over the word AGE on the masthead. Why print the masthead at all, run a strip of ads instead.
And they make a nasty streak when they’re removed anyway.

Mark,
you know as well as any man that everywoman likes to hide her AGE!especially the P.M.

I wonder if the companies who pay to advertise this way realise how many of these stickers come off during the wrapping process for deliveries. What a waste (of both time and money)!!!

Great advertising Should be more of it!

If you think about it the advertiser must pay a premium for all you people notice it and if they do then there is more chance of higher delivery fees. Be positive less advertising less chance of an increase in delivery fees. More stickers more often.

What are you smoking Graeme Day? We have had a couple of delivery fee increases in ten years. I am worse of today than in 2000. Not one red cent of advertising money gets to newsagents. get a life.

Helen,
Lighten up I am not serious Look at what was said about Gillard and the AGE.
If all newsagents have to worry about is poster stickers on the front page of newspapers then they must be going ganbusters in their trading.

i liked the comment as well, but i see covering the masthead of a paper the same as covering up your own signs/windows in a newsagency/retail shop with posters from others.
just looks messy and cluttered.
