Ferrari partwork fails for us

ferrarimag.JPGDespite considerable promotional effort including a behind the counter display and this high traffic location impulse placement, we have been unable to move any serious quantities of the Ferrari part series.  11 copies out of 70 in fact.  Had this title been released outside of the Easter / Mother’s Day business and away from other part series launches it may have done better.  While I understand that this partwork has sold well in some locations, it’s not worked for me.

    No interest at all in it here. Can’t be selling well anywhere, they’re thrown a $500 prize for best display; sounds a bit desperate. Customers are put off by the way it was cancelled after only 7 or so issues last time. I’ve early returned mine.

    Having received none at all I would have no idea whether it would have sold in my
    business or not, but judging by the people
    who have enquired about it in my shop I guess I would have sold them – Oh well,
    allocations are hard for the distributors so
    I will just accept the loss???????????

    By the way the marketing lass came in and did a lovely display for it but still no supply.

    We received 11 copies, sold 10 and had 1 stolen.
    We could have sold more.
