Baked & Delicious partwork looks impressive

baked-delicious.JPGI have been fortunate to see the first issue of the Baked & Delicious the new partwork about which I blogged a few days ago.  The recipes are simple to follow and the silicone cupcake holders worth the cover price.  Each issue comes with silicone bakeware.

This new title is arriving at a good time given the success of food shows this year and that we have almost another six months of them to run.

The title is to be promoted in a $800,000 TV campaign starting on Wednesday July 20 – this will promote newsagents and is certain to generate traffic.  The TV campaign includes spots on MasterChef.

I urge newsagents to get behind this title.  Contact Gordon and Gotch.  Check your allocation.  Lift it if you think it is too low.

Okay. Call them. Their call centre is certainly aware of the title. It will go off!

i am looking forward very much to this release – at least three of my staff have already asked me what I know about it coming, so they have taken notice of the various pre-advertising that has come through on paper or email so far….. quite a buzzz…

    Hi,

I have a question about partworks. After reading on here about the troubles that newsagencies go through with these titles, I actually feel a little bad about requesting a put away at my local.

I would love the opinion of you pros. Should I be bypassing the newsagent and going straight to a subscription. (Are the troubles that the newsagent may go through to supply my order to much to bother him about)

Or, should I go through my local newsagent and stick by them.

Really in a quandry. I don’t want to make more work for the newsagent, but I want to support local business.

    Nathan,

Go to your agent. If he wont do it, find one that will. Yes its a pain but not your problem and the more that use the agent system the better it will get.

Nathan, put aways are an important part of business for most newsagents, we certainly encourage them. They are only aproblem when we are not supplied enough stock to cover all puat aways ordered. As Brett said, your patronage helps make us more important in the supply chainand should result in improved service for the newsagent and you the customer so please use us.
