An odd magazine to place

We received five copies of The Simple Things last week. It’s a new title for us. Looking through the pages it’s another magazine that is hard to place. It has no obvious category or segment home in our current mix.

As for the five copies initial supply – too many. Two would have been a good start at this price.

Recommend you place it with Mollie Makes & also in Country Style/living area (with Slow magazine?). The air freight version is a little expensive but the normal version has been successful for us.

We have a section after Frankie with Peppermint, Slow, Mindfood and Good magazine. It is difficult to know where to put these lovely magazines, I also have Handmade Living (homes gardens craft arts food) which has been placed in craft section but should be with some of these others. Same here May normal version sells better and have sold with Mollie Makes. The other tricky one is Fete, cooking? or home? asked publisher and she suggested place next to Real Living and Donna Hay so I guess what you say Mark is true, we need more than one placement for mags but then you need the pockets to accomodate them.
