Like everything The Checkout does it was spot on and very funny though while I watched it I thought most of the viewers probably know lottoland is a “pack of dodgy punts” and the people who need to be informed were too busy laughing at the idiot drunk drivers on RBT.

Interesting at the recent Tatts meeting I asked the CEO why don’t they fight fire with fire by discrediting Lottolands ads as I am sick and tired of them making Newsagents look silly his response was they are not interested to give Lottoland more publicity. An ad like this is not publiciyu but customer education as the everyday customer is not aware of the facts,i am sure if Tatts was in any way made look silly they would take action, but Newsagents their greatest asset is not important.

Channel Ten Perth, with Lotterywest’s help, ran a story on their 5pm news last week about how Lottoland is sucking out millions of dollars from the WA community.

Apparently a second foreign lottery bookmaker has been given approval by the NT govt to commence operations in Aus. They’re coming out of the woodwork!

I get all the valid feedback, but if they are legit company and honour a payout through their insurance policy, is it such a bad thing? I mean it does make it easier to particpate online and get access to bigger prize pools. The odds of winning are next to none either way. The only real downside I can see is that these guys are profiting bigtime where as the actual lotto generates material revenue for the government.

Harry the down sides I see are their attract shoppers from Tatts and Lotterywest, and therefore newsagents, and they migrate shoppers online and out of store … maybe to never return.
