Beware calls to your business about Epay

Someone is calling retailers claiming to be from Epay or one of the POS software companies asking for access to a computer in the business.

This is a scam.

Do not provide access.

Instead, ask them for their name and their phone number and say you will call them back. Usually, they will hang up at this point.

If I was a serious scammer and you asked me for name and phone number I would possibly give it to you then answer the call myself with the company name if/when you called back.
Probably better to look up Epays number yourself and you that.
If it is a scam Epay would then be made aware of it and maybe able to alert all their clients.

We reported it to Epay. However, as is their wont, they will ignore it and do nothing.
