Online workshop: How and why to take your newsagency online

Tomorrow, Tuesday, I am hosting a free online workshop for newsagents on how and why to take your Newsagency online. This is not a marketing event. I’ll offer practical advice newsagents can use regardless of current in use.

We will explore what to sell online, how to sell online, why it matters and go under the hood and look at what people are looking for right now.

Currently working with minimal staff so evening session would be good if possible. Thanks

During the lockdown our online purchases increased significantly. Like most other people it gave us time to spring clean our home, re-organise our possessions and purchase items that improved the home. New photo frames and storage boxes were top of mind. Time was spent at Bunnings, my favourite place and home office supplies were also important. Of the online providers, Amazon was the most popular. They have a good website, delivery and returns policy. The issue for small players is matching this service level and competing with the Amazons and specialist online businesses. It can be done, but you’d have to be fully committed and not just doing it as an afterthought.
