New newsagency: the magazine wall

This photo shows how we are displaying magazines on the rear wall of the new newsagency I am a partner in and about which I blogged yesterday. This wall of magazines nis one of three display locations for magazines, offering around 700 facings.

You can see in the photo that the pockets are deep and the full cover of each magazine is on show. The fixtures are clip-in clip-out, this facilitates easy reconfiguration.

Shoppers entering the business see this wall. It has been lit to draw attention to it from the front of the shop.

This photo is important as it shows we remain committed to magazines even though we are playing with the rest of the model.

Anthony the fixtures are from Caem – excellent company. The shopfitter who used them is not one I’d endorse.

    Mark,

May I ask how long it took for your shopfit to be completed as we are doing one at the present but having terrible trouble with the person in charge of it. It has been going on for 6 months and still no shopfit. If you could ring and talk to us that would be appreciated. 0351541310 or 0438586489
    Cheers

Sharon, the time required should be in your contract. If it’s not, then the problem is with the contract.

Timing can depend on business of the shop fit company. But this should be disclosed prior to you signing the contract.

If you have paid a deposit and its taken six months so far and there is no timing in the contract, consider asking for the deposit back and cancelling the contract.
