Simpsons comics come down early

fhn_simpsons_comic_dec09.JPGWith a 12% sell through in four weeks we are taking the latest issue of the Simpsons comic off early.  We need the space and the cash would be handy.  I am sure that I am not alone in experiencing poor sales numbers.  Comics are struggling from the benchmark data I see and publishers don’t appear to be cutting back on their print runs.

G`day Mark, is that a GG simpsons comic? If so you will soon get it back when NDD collect it and and others and then bag it as a “boredom buster pack” and then redistribute to us understanding yet cash flow poor newsagents.
    Cheers

Did anyone else (or is it just us here in Qld) get ‘Simpsons Mallow Pops Hotshots’? This is an absolute disgrace. A magazine distributor using the network to distribute confectionery on a magazine margin. Disgraceful and early returned!!!!! This one has made me really angry, because the distributors are branching out, using the newsagent network to distribute goods outside their calling and offering only miniscule margin when compared to the margin we can get from any other confectionery supplier. A word of warning to all distributors … we will not tolerate it! Be prepared for early returns.

The mallow pops were a new ‘title’ I said no to. I agree, this should not be distributed to newsagents. Gotch needs to understand the damage it does to their brand among newsagents.
