I had an old dear who was in her 90’s and was totally deaf.
I had my throw perfected where I could bounce the paper off her front door and it would roll down the hallway. This noise would alert her miniature fox terriers who would bark like mad and customer would know her paper had arrived.
Imagine if I threw an Ipad. If it did not smash on the front door, it would totally flatten her miniature doggies.

I have had a few of those, but its about morning tea time when my papers get delivered.
My regulars included a lady with dementia who got the paper so she knew what day it is. I made sure the paper was in the exact same spot each time or she could not find it.
I still have a bloke who now needs a walking stick. I put his paper on a table on his front patio. I get jars of chutney and pumpkins for it !!!
Another lady has a dog who gets irate if I don’t stop and pat him ( the dog gets irate- not the customer ! ).
Another one I put in her mail box and lift the flag. She keeps an eye on it, then shoots down her long driveway in her motorised wheelchair. I would love to put a speed camera on her.
I’ve misssed a few roos and cows.
These city newsagents miss all the fun!!!
Most of my customers would not know what an IPad was if it hit them.
If newspapers went onto Ipad, where would I get my fun from ?
