Tony Robbins is coming to Australia: Save the four hundred to six thousand dollars. Back yourself instead.

Tony Robbins is coming to Australia Sydney next week for two days at the Fortuna One Summit. Tickets cost somewhere between four hundred and six thousand dollars. Then there are flights, accommodation, food and time costs to consider.

Don’t go. Back yourself instead.

Tony is a master presenter, no argument. He has spent decades honing his skills and knows exactly how to move an audience from ordinary Tuesday to standing on a chair by Wednesday afternoon. The volume, the pacing, the firewalk. All of it is choreographed to make you feel.

That is the point.

I think it is about making you feel you need more of him to become the version of yourself you glimpsed in the room. The two days you paid for are, structurally, an ad for the twelve months and the dollars that come next.

I say this as someone who has been to sessions like this in Australia and the US. I’ve paid thousands. But I stopped that in the late 1990s when I realised that I was enough, that my skills were what mattered and not how much I got caught up in an almost evangelical moment.

What the money could do instead

Four hundred dollars buys category signage and a proper look at your top thirty suppliers. Fifteen hundred is a weekend away with your partner talking about what you want the business to look like in three years. Three thousand gets a retail specialist walking your floor with you, plus new fixtures for the front of store. Six thousand covers a full store review, a floor replan, refreshed signage, a trial of a new range, and leaves change.

Any of those will change more in your shop than two days in an arena.

What actually changes a retail business

Transformation in a small shop is boring. It is not a firewalk. It is a fortnight cleaning up your category coding, a Sunday with the P&L and a highlighter, one honest conversation with a supplier. It is finally deleting the range that has not sold in two years.

None of that requires a guru. It requires you, a quiet room and a bit of nerve.

The room is not the answer

Twelve thousand people, most of them nodding, most of them buying at the back at the break. That environment is built to make hesitation feel like weakness. Any decision you would not make on a Tuesday morning at your desk, you should not make in a stadium on a Wednesday night.

Back yourself

You already know what needs to happen in your business. You have known it for months. What you have been waiting for is permission, or energy, or a push. A stadium gives you a jolt of all three. It fades by Monday. The invoice does not.

Keep the money. Take a day off, walk your shop like a customer, pull two years of numbers, and write down the three things you have been avoiding. Do one of them by Friday.

That is the seminar. It is free, and it is already booked.
