Mr Men competition to drive Herald Sun sales

newspmrmenThe Herald Sun Mr Men promotion kicked off yesterday and if what I’ve seen played out across the state they are in for a good sales boost. All week Melbourne TV has been running ads so demand was strong from the outset. People came in asking for the free book and that’s a good start – the rest is up to us.

Pity they never send enough books to deal with the demand. PROMOTIONS = UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS !!! And us lucky newsagents get to deal with it.

I love the fact that this is a newsagent only promotion, no supermarkets or petrol outlets or 7 elevens.

Great series and just us newsagents.
    Has to be a winner!

Our local Woolworths rang up News Ltd to complain and were told that we were supposed to supply them

Love the promo but a pity the newspapers suppliers do not know why they run a promo , if it was something I ran first thing I would do is increase supply of papers but NO they cut back supplies to an amount that is less than average sales

We’re a subagent on the Gold Coast but fortunately we have a new sales rep for the area as the former sales rep had too many clients to deal with. Our new rep is great giving us promotional displays and T-Shirt and our new main agent gave far more quantity then we would get with our old main agent. Hope to recapture some lost newspaper customer that lost faith with the newspaper promotions.
