On Saturday a guy asked for my help in choosing a card. He said – I can’t sing, I seed a card to sing to my wife. They’re in the middle of a tough situation and wanted a singing card because his wife loved music. He was thrilled that we had a card that played Stand By Me.
It’s perfect he exclaimed. He shook my hand.
It is heartwarming moments like these from the shop floor that stay with me. I’m very lucky to have experienced this.
I had fun the other day finding a birthday card for a dog for a 6 and 8 yr old. They had their pocket money, and Dad couldn’t talk them out of it, that’s what they wanted to spend their dollars on. We found a terrific blank one from Henderson with a great photo and a dog story on the back, they were thrilled.
Selling cards can be such fun.
