VANA election down to the wire

VANA Board candidate Trevor Mason yesterday emailed VANA members with his final pitch for their vote.  In the email was this statement:

Over the last 12 months we have developed solutions in distribution, product ranging, increased profitability for the card business, and more.

I would welcome any of the newsagents Mason claims to have helped to comment here about the results.

The veracity of Mason’s claims is important since, as I understand it, he and three colleagues will control the VANA Board and commit VANA to his commercial  plan.  For more on the VANA election, click here and here.

The question for Victorian newsagents is whether they want their state association to become a commercial entity or to be an association.

    Mark,

    You are on the money.
Mason also says “I agree that the solutions needed should remain with the buying and marketing groups”

This is a MASSIVE CONTRADICTION by Trevor Mason, seeing that he has said in the past that his commercial venture is is NOT about marketing or buying groups.

    So what are his solutions??

    He talks about FUNDING.
Well if he has governt funding and Politicians in his pocket, the WHY has he not already used these to get MONEY for his Commercial Venture.

Answer: He needs to get CONTROL of VANA to have any legetimacy and to raid VANAS Assets and Cash Reserves to get his MARKETING GROUP First Advantage OFF the ground.

He uses his SPIN very well. Even using the slogan Moving Forward.
Have we not heard that SLOGAN before.

Be very sceptical and wary from SLICK SALESMEN like Trevor MAson.

Trevor has been running First Advantage for over 12 Months now…where are the success stories??…where is the Govt funding he has arranged for them?? … where are the magazine success stories he has fixed??…

Its simple..there is no golden bullet…and Trevor does not have one.

VANA, I Believe, like all stake holders, are working everyday for the good of the indusrty..honeslty, responsibly and trying to support all those that support them.

Trevor tells us he has all the answers, but wont tell us his plan until after he is elected…surely newsagents are smater than this and can see through the spin… I can only hope.

Support Robert Wade or loose control of your Industry in Victoria to a dictaorial duo who have not delivered on any of their promises to date.

These two Spin Doctors are full of hot air.
Support your Industry through their Charter.

This post has been up on this site all day…does this mean that there is not even ONE success story that Mr Mason and his supporters can talk about ????….I thought that might be the answer.

From past experiences Gerard with Mr Mason he is all promises smoke and mirrows and does not deliver.

I wonder if he knows what the Charter of VANA is and then to ask him how that fits within the framework.
