UK lads’ mags to go the way of tobacco

The Telegraph in the UK is reporting that the government is considering new regulations which could include a requirement that lads’ magazines are covered up. I understand the tobacco move given the health imperative. I think covering something like Zoo or Maxim would be taking it too far. Many retailers respond now with careful placement.

To be consistent they’ll have to cover up every publication with an underware advert in it and every magazine with bikini shots in it. Censorship gone crazy!!!

Exactly Brendan – “censorship gone crazy”

One can hardly call this a surprise given David Camerons unhealthy attachment to, or inability to separate his job from, his religion. A glance at British political headlines makes one think they are heading into a Thatcher-style era of conservatism. When will governments stop attempting to legislate their personal and perverse ideas of morality.
