They are hunting for news stories about local restaurants.

This is so wrong on every level. What they gonna do, name and shame some family business, send them bust, all so they can sell a couple of a copies and some individuals get a chance to trash someone, no matter what their motivation is.

If they must go ahead I suggest they insist all complainants agree to divulge all details ie name and address and that these be published. There should be no anonymity for anyone in this negative nasty exercise, including for the judges and reporters.

Perhaps they want further info on a situation that has already happened. no difference, it’s still wrong.
Let he local Council or Vic. Health Dept look into it and investigate using correct guidelines rather than conducting a pathetic kangaroo court lynch mob.

Has anyone contacted Mr Jefferson to determine his motivation ?

If they named my business without there being any evidence I would go after them for defamation and damages. There is no way they could prove any link between a food borne illness and a food outlet without pathological evidence.

Most (def not all) food poisoning cases are the result of poor food handling and hygiene at home, not in food outlets but when people get sick they immediately think of where they ate out last and not what they did at home.

    Absolute gutter level journalism
