Promoting on the floor

new-idea-floor.jpegIn our cramped temporary location, finding space for displays is most challenging.  So, we have decided to use the floor to promote the excellent Pictionary giveaway with this week’s New Idea.  We have taped around the edges to protect against scuffing. I’m very happy with the result – it certainly draws attention to the offer and the overall women’s weekly magazine section. Yeah, well pleased with this.

We have been using our floor to promote things for a while now, it amazes me how many people are that constantly stare at their feet and do not look up, not only shopping but all the time. When we place signs at so called eye level they are missed but put them on the floor and they get noticed.

Next time you walk down the street look at how many people walk with their heads up and how many shuffle around looking at the ground, are we all turning into sheep. I even have some customers get uncomfortable when I look them in the eye and greet them as they enter, it’s just not done anymore how sad.

Great idea and works well in many fields.
Could I suggest an option of placing the display ‘across’ the walkway facing both directions.
Be very attentive to the possibility of tripping/slipping.

Supermarkets do this with great results and spend a lot of money merchandising their stores with floor advertising and POS.

We cover these type of things with clear contact, reduces any tripping hazard very well.
