Good timing for RB7 partwork launch

I love the display and tactical placement promoting the launch issue of RB7 created by the team at one of my stores. With partworks this year accounting for more than 10% of magazine sales and attracting new traffic and with the grand prix in town it makes sense to jump on this opportunity.

This is a simple yet effective display in the right location to drive maximum commercial benefit for us. It helps that it has a local connection.

While there is plenty of interest in this partwork … great advertising … many have been put off by the extensive number of parts (100 expected), especially at the high price point per part.

No interest at all then yesterday i managed to score 1 putaway customer ,which i am happy enough about because with something like this they more than likely will go right up to the last one . With ones like the farm one they tend to quit one by one and no really ever finishes the series

I had a gentleman wanting 2 of these as he intended to build it with his young son as a bonding exercise. He read the blurb and the FREE stuff if you subscribe which included a remote control fuel bottle etc. I asked Network if he came thru us if he would get the FREE stuff and they said no. I told the customer this and explained that I would understand if he preferred to subscribe and cut us out. Instead he decided because of the bad treatment of the newsagent he would not buy it at all.
Net result they lost 2 sales and so did I. about $4000.00. Why are there different rules for us and them? Why should we promote the partworks and be so badly treated.
