The idle Tattersalls scratchie bay

I have been chasing information from our Tattersalls business manager for weeks about how we will be using the scratch ticket bays.  The response is that the company will make an announcement soon.  A follow up request for information told be it would be “this week”.  That was more than a week ago.

It is frustrating to have prime real estate idle at the counter.  Tattersalls forbids using the scratch ticket bay for anything other than their products and all the provide at the moment are posters promoting products which have prime promotional space elsewhere in the shop.

How can they forbid the use of space that the don’t pay rent for?

If they haven’t made the announcement by now put something else in there for the moment. It won’t be permanent seeing your still waiting on them. They wouldn’t wait for you!!! This is a perfect issue for the ANF to address not buying cheap stationery,

Well unofficially we were told about 1 month ago that they will soon be allowed to sell scratchies due to a “loophole” in the law. Apparently they are going to manipulate the interstate scratchies and sell them here, we were told about this the same time about Monday-Wednesday Lotto which wasn’t long after they lost the Wednesday lotto

Even if they do attempt to bring scratchies in through a loophole, I’m sure that Intralot will delay/fight it in the courts

That sort of ties in with Golden Casket now being able to sell to Tas, ACT, NT and of course Qld. See what happens?

not a loophole as such, tatts want to get golden casket scratchies declared as a national bloc game (category 1), which allows tatts to sell em in vic.

In the meantime, Tattersalls forces us th leave the best counter real-estate we have displaying posters which for products which are already well covered.

Is it only me or can ppl not see the effect this will have on Vic Tatts shops that have Intralot. If Tatts bring in the Scratchies, ppl will stop buying Intralot scratchies and will start buying Tatts again. And please tell me, what happens to our $10000 Intralot license fee??? Down the drain??

that decision wasn’t approved, they said so in the last tatts news. something about redesigning the retail specs due in november or december? so looks like no scratchies for tatts.
