I appreciate it’s a big call but I do think The Ripped Bodice in Brooklyn New York is the best bookshop I’ve ever visited and here’s why: when you enter the shop you enter a unique world, their are clear in their focus, the shopping experience is wonderful. Here’s a video where I explain:
I had visited some paperplus shops in New Zealand last week, and every paperplus stores have nice book offering, making them destination of books. I had visited 30+ newsagents in NSW and Vic last month, only 2 shops has great book offering. As a newsagent, I wish we have training and lead-pilots on book retail.
