New sound card range popular

hallmark_sound_cards.JPGWe are promoting the new range of Hallmark sound cards in each of our stores.  Even though they have only been up a week, sales are strong – I have seen customers buy two at a time.  What I especially like about this range is the depth of occasion coverage – this is key to driving more than single card sales.  I have had a couple of customers comment positively about the price point too – this should generate good word of mouth.

This is like a major magazine launch for us – exciting and an opportunity for us to refresh our offer and our commitment to the category.  It changes gear for our card department and shows us moving with the times.

While I have seen sound cards from others and indeed sold them, this new range from Hallmark is genuinely fresh.

I agree Mark, its good to see Hallmark offer something fresh that is in line with what people are looking for. Our sound cards are doing really well . There are some fantastic cards out there, its so important for these companies to come up with a point of difference.

Just as a matter of interest, what are the price points for these cards? I think i’d be interested in stocking those.

The cards needed to be ordered quickly as the first shipment was of limited size.

In our CBD store we have sold in excess of 90 of these cards in 9 days.

Mark what area of the card isle do you have them in?
In other words have you isolated them as in a promo spot or integrated them / blocked them within your general lifestyle range?

Incidentally, how many pockets of cards would you perceive to be an ideal amount for stores who want to own the card segment within their given postcode?
