Packaging almost as important as the product

I love the packaging for this mad Cow Money Box. you can see the product, understand what is and get in on the fun. The packaging helps sell the product in terms of purpose and fun as well as showing it’s each to wrap if being purchases as a gift.

We consider these factors when buying gifts as they are factors our customers tell us they consider and we see for ourselves in terms of how they engage.

    I purchased some gorgeous (packaging)
scented diffusers at the Melb. giftfair last week. I didn’t even bother to smell the product because the packaging was so good.
I know my customers and they will love the
“look” of the product so I agree with you Mark. I have had a similar product and I
decided to forego it (even though it was a great seller) to go with the new look. Hope we are right?
I was looking for an “inspirational” gift line.
I don’t mean with inspirational verses or the like but just something that inspired me and that people would come back for repeat business over and over but I couldn’t find that special something.
Overall it was a good fair and we purchased some nice new lines but I wasn’t “over the moon” about much.
We purchased some lovely coloured glass
product both large and small pieces and they always look good on the shelf.
Gifts are the most difficult thing to buy.
If you buy sets of things you always get leftovers and if you buy too many expensive things you have to reduce the price if they don’t move quickly enough.
We’ve had a lot of success with Yipose which is a stand of kids hairbands and clips etc and they have a lot of pretty allied product in pink/purple colours which is very appealing on white shelving. Product like kids handbags, purses, dance bags and backpacks and jewellery boxes
wands, tiaras and dresses (did very well last Xmas but do we do them again or go for something different)
Did anyone find anything exciting at the fair that they would like to share?
